A Whiskey Painting is a miniature watercolor painted by a bona-fide member of the WPA: WHISKEY PAINTERS OF AMERICA.
The WPA, formed in the late 1950s has a limited membership of 150. An artist must be sponsored by an existing member.
A genuine Whiskey Painting consists of a miniature piece of art no larger than 4 X 5" painted with watercolor by dipping your brush in some form of alcoholic spirits,.... then possibly sipping the alcohol, thereby enhancing the painting experience.
